Ellis, Robert Curry age 84 of Arley went home to be with his Savior on Tuesday, January 14, 2014. He was retired from Rust Engineering with more than 35 years of service; he also worked for the City of Adamsville as the Building Inspector for 13 years. After Retirement he volunteered for the Princeton Hospice Organization for 5 years. He was a long time member of Midway United Methodist Church and Arley United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents Clyde and Thelma Ellis and three brothers, Gordon, Paul and Nelson Ellis. He is survived by his Wife of 64 years Mary H. Ellis; son, Robin Ellis (Sandra); daughter, Cathy Stone (Randy); brother, Don Ellis; two sisters, Nancy Cosper and Kay West; grandchildren, Monica Stone Marbut (Scott), Nathan Stone (Kayla Light), Adam Howell (Ashley), Krystle Phillips (Eric), Corey Ellis (Brittany Collar) and Corey''s mother, Lynn Ellis; great-grandson, Koltyn Shores. Funeral Service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 16th at Bell Forestdale Chapel with burial to follow at Midway Cemetery. Rev. Kennith Bishop and Rev. Ron Gilbreath will be officiating. Visitation will be on Thursday from 1:00 - 3:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers family request memorial contributions may be made to Midway United Methodist Church or Arley United Methodist Church.
