Robert Gabriel Hester, born June 3, 1983 after struggling with multiple medical problems died at the age of 30 on Monday, March 24, 2014. Gabriel was a free thinker and had a true love for all God's creatures. He was preceded in death by his great grandparents Walter and Hester Hill, Robert Sr. and Lavada Hardin; his grandfather and namesake Robert Hardin Jr.; grandparents Albert and Bertha Hester formerly of Gadsden and one uncle Roy B. Hardin. He is greatly loved and survived by his grandmother "Granny" Peggy J. Hardin of Bayview, his mothers, Lavita Hardin Hester and Lisa Windle of Minor Heights; his father, Barry Hester (Sharon); his uncle, Jon B. Hardin (Felecia); aunt Carolyn (Jim) Henderson of San Francisco, CA. he is also survived by cousins, Maddy Prince (Charlie), Vincint, Veronica Rose and Olivia Hardin; great niece, Lucy and great nephew Frank, and numerous other family and friends who will love and miss him, including Katherine Windle and family. The family would like to extend its deepest gratitude to Joycelyn Windham for her help with his care. Graveside Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, March 28th at Crestview Memorial Gardens. Rev. Lee Taylor officiating. Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 27th at Bell Forestdale Chapel from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Bell Funeral Home Forestdale directing.
