Roger Wayne Gooch, Sr. age 76 of Gardendale, Al, went to be with the Lord, on July 31, 2025. Roger was preceded indeath by his Father, Earnest Gooch, Sister, Bobbie Smith; Brothers, Edward Gooch, John Gooch and Earnest Gooch. Roger is survived by his wife of 47 years Shelia Gooch, his Sons Roger Gooch, Jr. (Wendy). Glen Gooch (Angela), Eddie Gooch (Adria), Chris Gooch (Heather) and Jonathan Gooch; 11 Grandchildren and 4 Great Grandchildren; Brother, Donnie Gooch; Sisters, Frances Pickle, Brenda Whitten, Patricia Manley and Ginger Lynn. Roger was a kind, caring and considerate man, who was always willing to help. He was a member of the Boiler Maker International Union Local 108 and worked as a boiler maker for 30 years or more. He will be greatly missed by family, friends an all who knew him.

Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 5th at Bell Forestdale Chapel with burial to follow at Bivens Chapel Cemetery. Bro. Guy Moore will be officiating. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00.
