Ruby Jane Roper age 84 of McCalla, passed away on Wednesday, July 21, 2021.  She was retired from Bell South.

She was preceded in death by her Parents: Samuel & Eliza "Jane" Galbreath; Husband of 52 years: Harold "Buddy" Roper and Brother: Harold Galbreath.

She is survived by Daughter, Wanda Taylor (David); Daughter, Janice Bailey (Wayne); Son, Phillip Roper (Denise); Grandchildren: Rick Smith, Michael Smith, Christopher Bailey, Michelle Roper-Carr, Patrick Bailey (Kathryn), Grayson Roper, Philip Graves (Abi);  A Host of Great Grandchildren, Great Great Grandchildren; Sisters-in-law: Frances Galbreath, Gwen Roper, Charlsie Roper; Extended Family:  Melissa Roper.  The Family would like to extend a Special Thanks to Encompass Hospice and especially to Angie Powell.

Funeral Service will be held at 12:00 Noon on Saturday, July 24th at Bell Forestdale Chapel.  She will be laid to rest at Oakwood Memorial Gardens in Gardendale.  Rev. Nellon Smith will be officiating.  Visitation will be on Saturday One Hour Prior to Service.
