Obituary

Mrs. Bearden was born in Blossburg, Alabama. She graduated from Minor High School with honors in English. She worked in a Birmingham War Plant during World War II as an original Rosie the Riveter, until she married. She dedicated the rest of her life to her nine children and their families. Her hobby and gift was writing poetry and creative writing. She will be remembered for her special cards to family and friends. She is preceded in death by her Husband: Fred Bearden; Mother: Stella James Brake; Father: Willis Alfred Brake; Brothers; Carl Brake, Arnold Brake, Glenn Brake; Sisters-in-law: Evadene Brake, Amy Brake; Son-in-law: Rev. Kenneth Street; Infant Grandsons: Jordan Frederick and Brendan Thomas. She is survived by Four Sons: Roger Bearden (Jackie), Michael Bearden (Debra), Dana Bearden (Wanda), Kevin Bearden; Five Daughters: Sharon Street, Rebecca Frederick (Grantland), Valerie Hand (Kenneth), Starla Deese (Steve), Cami Thomas (Lonnie); 18 Grandchildren, 15 Great Grandchildren, One Great Great Grandchild and Several Nieces and Nephews. Funeral Service will be Friday, December 9th at 12:00 Noon at Bell Forestdale Chapel with burial to follow at Bivens Chapel Cemetery. Rev. Grantland Frederick officiating. Grandsons will serve as active pallbearers. Visitation will be one hour prior to service on Friday.
