Shelby Jean Hankins Moore, born July 12, 1939 passed from this life March 21, 2017 at age 77. She was born to the late Erval Lee Hankins and Henretta Pennington Hankins in Vernon, AL. She was raised in Lamar Co., Al and graduated from LCHS in 1958. She loved her grandchildren, crossword puzzles and cooking for her Family. She married the Love of her life Tommy Moore in 1960. She planned on Celebrating her 57th Anniversary June 26th. Survivors include her husband Tommy Moore, Daughters Tracie Moore of Pensacola, Fl., Stephnie and Reggie Sutton of Morris, Al., and Son, James and Stephany Moore of Trussville, Al.; Sisters-in-law, Robbie Collins of Fayette, Al., Van Moore of Hoover, Al., Brother-in-law, Rudy Moore; Sisters, Betty Brewer of Helena, Al., Doris Stoves of McCalla, Al.; Brothers, James (Jr) Hankins of Caledonia, Ms., Henry and Gail Hankins of Boonville, Ms., Steve and Joyce Hankins of Duluth, Ga.; Her Grandchildren, Shelby & Gage Johnsey, Collin Sutton, Jacob Moore and Joshua Moore; A host of Cousins, Nephews and Nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Gail Wall, Brothers -in-law, Harry Wall, Thurston Moore, Johnnie Moore and Sam Collins. Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 23rd from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. with Funeral Service at 11:00 at Bell Forestdale Chapel. Will have a Visitation from 2:00 – 3:00 p.m. with Funeral Service at 3:00 p.m. at Chandler Funeral Home in Vernon, Alabama with burial to follow at Bethel Cemetery in Vernon, Al. Bell Funeral Home Forestdale and Chandler Funeral Home directing.
