Steven D. Varden was born June 9, 1960.  He fought for several months to overcome a glioblastoma diagnosis but succumbed to this terrible disease on April 16, 2023.  A special thanks to his care team at Fair Haven and Affinity Hospice.  He is preceded in death by his mother, Inez Bates Sinyard; brother, Randy Varden; sister-in -law Sharon Hanson Varden. Survivors include his daughter, Stephanie Golden (Matthew), granddaughters, Katie and Madelyn Golden. Also survived by a brother, Jim Varden; sister, Susan Hand Varden (Mike); sister-in-law, Joanie Varden; nephews, Brian Varden, David Varden (Brandy), and Corey Varden (Emily); Nieces, Brandy Sunday (Chris), Christina Babineaux (Chris), Jamie Hand (Eric) and a host of great nieces and nephews, other relatives and close friends. Visitation will be on Thursday, April 20th at 5:00 p.m. with a funeral service to follow at 6:00 p.m. at Bell Funeral Home in Forestdale. Rev. Guy Moore will be officiating.
