Sylvia Ann Patchen (nee Busby), age 76, of Brookside Alabama passed away on Saturday June 14th, 2025, in Birmingham Alabama. Born on November 20, 1948 in Cardiff Alabama, Ann lived a life marked by faith, kindness, and devotion to her family.

Ann was the beloved daughter of Helen and LB Busby, and the cherished wife of Jerry Patchen, all of whom preceded her in death. She is lovingly remembered by her daughter Susie Ledbetter (Sam); and her grandchildren Brittany and Joseph Hurley.

A devout Christian throughout her life, Ann nurtured a deep personal relationship with God. Her faith was the cornerstone of her daily life - she prayed faithfully and always kept a Bible close at hand. Her spiritual strength was evident to all who knew her and served as a source of comfort and inspiration .

Ann found joy in the simple pleasures in life. She loved reading, cooking, and tending to her garden where she cultivated beautiful flowers that reflected the warmth she brought into the lives of others. Attending church was a meaningful part of her spiritual journey. Above all else, she treasured time spent with family and friends, creating lasting memories filled with Love and Laughter.

Those who knew Ann will remember her as sweet, kind, loving, and giving - a true blessing to everyone she encountered. Her gentle spirit and unwavering generosity left an indelible mark on the hearts of many.

May her memory bring comfort to those who know and loved her.

Visitation will be Friday June 20th from 1-2 pm with service following at Bell Forestdale chapel at 2:00 pm. Burial will follow at Cardiff cemetery.
