Allen, Jr., Theo "Ted" age 87 of Birmingham passed away on Thursday, December 13, 2012. He loved playing the Guitar and played for several Gospel Groups. He Graduated from Minor High School where he played in the band and was a bus driver and he was a Veteran of the U. S. Army. Preceded in death by his parents, Theo Allen, Sr. and Dulcie Whitfield Allen and brother-in-law, Chuck Jones. He is survived by wife, Barbara Allen; sons, Teddy Wayne Allen and Bryon Spurlin; sister, Betty Jean Allen Jones; niece, Vicki Jones Vickers; nephews, Trea (Kristen) and Jason Vickers; great-nephew, Dylan Vickers. Visitation will be on Friday, December 14th from 5:00 - 6:30 p.m. at Bell Forestdale Chapel with Funeral Service following at 6:30. Rev. Steve Potts and Bro. Harold Jarvis will be officiating. Graveside Service will be on Saturday, December 15th at 11:00 a.m. at Pleasant Grove Cemetery (Vandiver, Al). Bell Funeral Home Forestdale directing.
