Theran (PeeWee) Jones age 92, was born on June 8, 1922 and passed away on Thursday, April 23, 2015. He was a member of Forestdale Baptist Church where he was actively involved for many years. He faithfully served his Country as Staff Sergeant in the Army Air Force during World War II. PeeWee, as he was fondly known, was an avid baseball fan and was instrumental in establishing Boys Little League in his community of Hillview. He retired from Baggett Transportation Co. He was preceded in death by his parents George R. & Maude Echols Jones, brothers John, Kenneth, Willis and sisters Crecy Woodard and Mary Herrington. He is survived by his Wife of 70 years, Mary Pauline Jones; Daughter, Sandy Johnson; Sons, Steve (Marilyn) Jones, Doug (Ronda) Jones; Six Grandchildren; Twelve Great-Grandchildren; Brother, Don (Doris) Jones; Sisters, Eunice Sanford and Eolin (Joe) Snyder; a Host of Nieces, Nephews, Great Nieces and Nephews and Extended Family and Friends. Visitation will be on Monday April 27th at Bell Forestdale Chapel from 12:30-1:30 p.m. Graveside Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. at Bivens Chapel Cemetery. Bro. Don Batson will be officiating.
