Obituary

Vivian Jean Turner, age 73, passed away on Tuesday, March 22, 2022. She was the wife of Charlie Turner. They shared 48 years of marriage together.

Born in Birmingham, Alabama at East End Memorial Hospital, she was the daughter of Earl and Ruth Marchand. She lived most of her childhood in New Orleans, Louisiana, but bounced between Louisiana and Alabama. She was employed at Food World and retired after 35 years of service in the deli.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sibling, aunt, and friend. She enjoyed shopping, cooking, and spending time with her family. She will be remembered for her witty comebacks, loving demeanor, and outgoing personality.

She is survived by her husband, Charlie Turner, her children, Jerry Hogeland and Christie Burgett (Roger Burgett), her grandchildren, Devon Painter, Danielle Hogeland, Bryan Turner (Kelly Turner), Kirstyn Hodges (David Hodges), Chase Turner (Lauren Turner), Jacob Hogeland, Kourtney Clemons (Matt Clemons), Nicholas Hollis (Abbie Hollis), Gracie Burgett, John-Michael Hollis, her great grandchildren, Alissa Cacioppo, Kalynn Painter, Hollace Turner, Ryley Turner, Hayden Isham, Raven Isham, Ryan Isham, Kole Hodges, Willow Clemons, River Clemons, Harper Hogeland, and Tucker Hollis and her siblings, Billy Marchand, Darlene Falgout, and Robin Stewart. She was predeceased by her parents, Earl and Ruth Marchand, daughters, Tammy Hogeland and Wendi Nichols, sister, Donna Smith, brothers Michael, David, and Robert Marchand, and her grandson Jeremy Richardson.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 29 th at Bell Forestdale Chapel with burial to follow at Oakland Cemetery in Ensley, Alabama. Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m. on Monday, March 28 th at Bell Forestdale Chapel.
