Obituary

David (Wayne) Lambert was born May 21, 1952 and departed this life on October 5, 2025. He is preceded in death by his Dad, David Troy Lambert; Mom, Imogene Evans Lambert and Sister, Wanda Lambert Gilliland. He is survived by his Wife, Bonnie Case Lambert; Son, David Jeremy Lambert (Brandi), Son, Kyle Allen Lambert and Grandson, Cole Lambert. God blessed him with many special children who loving called him Paw Paw and held a special place in his heart.

He met the love of his life, Bonnie, during their senior year of high school at a "Fill the Pew" night at church—a moment that marked the beginning of their 53-year marriage. Together, they built a home filled with warmth, family traditions, and unforgettable memories.

A true family man, Wayne, cherished every moment spent with his loved ones. Whether he was casting a line at his favorite fishing spot or sitting in his backyard green field waiting on a deer, he found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He had a deep appreciation for the outdoors and passed down his love of hunting and fishing to the next generation.

A loyal fan of the Atlanta Braves, he rarely missed a game and always had a joke ready to share. He was known for his quick wit, kind heart, and warm presence that lit up every room.

He was a proud member of the Masonic Lodge #519 in North Birmingham, where he found brotherhood and lifelong friendships.  Wayne was retired from the Railroad with 42 years of service.

There was nothing Wayne loved more than a home-cooked meal prepared by Bonnie—except, perhaps, sneaking in a Gus's hot dog when she wasn't looking.

He leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and loyalty that will live on through his family and all who knew him.
