Obituary

A life well lived, Wilburn Walter Hill passed away on Monday, November 6, 2017 at the age of 102. He was born in Franklin County, Tennessee. He was a member of Berney Points Baptist Church and also called Forestdale Baptist Church his church home. He enjoyed living at The Covenant Place in Gardendale with his many caretakers and friends. Wilburn was a truck driver for many years, but his entrepreneurial spirit led him to go into his own filter business selling to trucking companies. He enjoyed traveling to many countries with family and friends. He was blessed with many friends and neighbors who he was always willing to help. They were very special to him and he enjoyed spending time with them. Wilburn had a generous heart and loved taking care of people. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, brothers and wives, Earline Hill, Aline Hill and Jessie Lee Hill. He is survived by his Daughter, Sherry Scoggins; Grandsons, Lance Scoggins, Brad and Bryan Scoggins and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. His daughter, grandson and family were blessed and honored to be a part of his life and will cherish the memories of him in their hearts. Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, November 10 th at Bell Forestdale Chapel. Rev. Jack Rollins will be officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, November 9 th from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Graveside Service will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, November 11 th at Maxwell Cemetery in Winchester, Tennessee.
