Mrs. Wilda Cooper age 92 of Quinton passed away on Friday, June 2, 2017. Ms. Wilda was a member of West Jefferson Baptist Church and worked in the Lunchroom at West Jefferson High School for 36 years.   She is preceded in death by her husband, Carl Cooper, Jr., her parents, Price and Ada Johnson; sisters, Gertrude Spruell, Onida Burroughs, Euncie McAlister, Gilda Gilham, Lila Fields and brothers, Eulas Johnson and William Johnson. She is survived by Son, Jerry Cooper; Daughter, Joan Banks; Grandchildren, Scott Cooper (Theresa), Jessica Parker (Will), Jacob Banks; Seven Great Grandchildren and Two Great Great Grandchildren. Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 6 ^th at West Jefferson Baptist Church with burial to follow at Freewill Cemetery. Visitation will be on Monday, June 5 ^th at Bell Forestdale Chapel from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. The body will lie in state at the church on Tuesday one hour prior to service.
